With the moto “Smart Serious Sunbathe” Salvatore Piazzollaκαι Grant Wilfley created the brand in the Hamptons, New York and changed sun care for ever. Their products protect and soothe your skin, while maintaining your bronzed glow for longer.

We had the chance to discuss with Salvatore and get an inside look of the brand history and what sets it apart from other similar brands.

Hello from Athens. How is NYC today?

NYC today is busy and bright, full of life having its own usually vibe. I would so much prefer soaking the Greek sun today to be honest (always protected with Hampton Sun!). 

How did you come across the Hampton Sun idea?

It really all comes back to my love of being in nature. It’s what I love so much about the Hamptons, being outdoors surrounded by the natural beauty.

There is nothing like waking up to a sunny morning and looking forward to a day outside.

The sun can have such a powerful influence over my positive outlook on life. Bringing that ability to enjoy a connection with nature while granting people the peace of mind of being protected from the sun’s harmful rays is truly my passion. I wanted to make sunscreen that felt great so it becomes a pleasant daily ritual.

What makes Hampton Sun different from other sun brands?

Why is the brand called Hamptons?  

Hampton Sun was created in the Hamptons on Long Island, New York.  A destination known for its pristine beaches, beautiful nature and sophisticated lifestyle.

Have you been to Greece before and how do you like it? 

My last trip was two years ago to Mykonos. I had the opportunity to visit several of the luxurious resorts that we do business with and fell in love with the chic esthetic and beauty.  Looking forward to visiting again soon and touring some of the other islands; of course ill make a stop at Ma Cherie because you guys really Rock.

What is one advice you would give to your 20 year old self if you were creating the brand then ?

We have had great success with our international partners – We only wish we had explored this sooner because the brand is loved and adored all over the world. I would say that being focused is key, but do it with passion.
